My name is Robert E. Lawther and I was born and raised in Wexford, PA. I attended Penn Technical Institute and recently graduated from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute with an AST in Electronics Technology, MCP.
My current career outside of the fire company is as a sales and field representative for MEDRAD, Incorportaed.
I joined the fire service in June of 1983 at the age of 19 with the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company and I am currently an active firefighter and life member as well. I hold training certificates in Firefighting Essentials, Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Operations, Structural Collapse Operations Level 1, Structural Firefighting and Structural Fire Rescue, NAUI Rescue Diver, Pump Operations, CPR w/AED, Emergency Vehicle Operations and CAFS operations.
What I enjoy the most about being a volunteer firefighter is the sense of pride I get when I can help my neighbors in a time of need. Also the sense of family between the members.
