My name is Craig Barton. I was born and raised in Mount Lebanon Pennsylvania, and I have been living in Pine Township for four years. I graduated from the University of South Carolina @ Coastal Carolina with a bachelor's degree in political science. I am employed with the United States Department of Homeland Security. I am married to Diane and we have two children named Hunter and Taylor. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing ice hockey, golf, exercise, and the beach.
I joined the Wexford Volunteer Fire Department in September 2003 as a Support Firefighter. After seven months of training, I attended the Allegheny County Fire Academy and recieved my Structural Firefighters certificate. Other certificates include: Firefighting Essentials, Firefighter 1 National Certificate, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations, Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) Operations, Structural Collapse Awareness, AED, CPR and First Aid, Firefighter Safety and Survival, Thermal Imaging, and Flashover Simulator. I am currently an active firefighter and member of the Executive Board.
What I enjoy most about being a volunteer firefighter is serving my community in their time of need and the friendship and brotherhood of the fire service.
