My name is Edward H. Ley and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Wexford). I attended CCAC and Purdue University and studied Business Management, Construction Supervision and Vocational Instruction. My current career outside of the fire company is as a Construction Manager/ Steamfitter. I have been married for 30 years and have 5 children; Laura who is 26, Eddie 24, Katie 20, Diana 17 and Lisa who is 14.
I joined the fire service in 2000 at the age of 47 and have been an active firefighter with the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company ever since. In addition to being and active firefighter, I have also served on the executive board for several years now. My current training certificates that I hold are in Firefighting Essentials, Firefighter 1, CAFS Operation and Fire Fighter Safety and Survival.
What I enjoy the most about being a volunteer firefighter is the association with a fine group of people who give continuously of their time and energy to serve and protect the people of our community.
