My name is Thomas M. Farmar and I was born and raised in Oxford, MD. I moved to the Wexford/Treesdale area in September 2003 and have been living here ever since. I studied political science at George Washington University in 1995 and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Geneva College in 2005. I am married to my wonderful wife Nan for over four years now and have one son named Matthew.
I joined the fire service with the Oxford Volunteer Fire Company in February of 1995 when I was 22 years old and I applied with the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company in November of 2003. I am currently an active firefighter with the fire company and was elected to the board of directors in January of 2007. My training certificates that I currently hold are; Firefighting Essentials from the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute in 1996.
I enjoy being a volunteer firefighter for the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company because I know that I am having a positive impact on the place where my family and I call home.
