Over the past several years, the Wexford VFC has responded to an average of over 450 calls a year. The primary response services that we provide include fire suppression, vehicle rescue, and operational level hazardous material response. We also respond to numerous other types of emergency and non-emergency incidents.
In August of 2021, we added a Quick Response Service (QRS) for priority medical emergencies. Members that participate in our QRS service are trained to the Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician levels. They respond in vehicles that have been certified by the PA Dept of Health and are equipped with medical supplies and equipment. The QRS crew initiates basic life support care until the arrival of an ambulance crew or provides assistance when needed if an ambulance crew is already on the scene.
Our basic response statistics are provided below.
