Engine 2 was put into service in the summer of 2019.
This station is located on the eastern side of the Township of Pine and was the product of a long-term plan to improve service to that side of the Township. The 1990s were the start of rapid growth for this area, and this station was critical as more residential developments were being constructed on the eastern side of the Township of Pine. Service started from this station in 1996. It was built as a two-bay garage with an unfinished administrative/dorm area.
Station 2 originally housed our brush truck as a primary response vehicle and had varying apparatus assignments until the purchase of a Pierce/PUC engine in 2009. The administrative area and dorm rooms were finished in 2003, and our live-in program was first launched at Station 2 that same year. It currently houses a 2019 Seagrave engine, a pick-up squad truck, and a traffic control trailer.
