As with everyone, life is certainly different at the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company as we do our best to maintain social distance protocols to keep our members healthy. No matter how different things may be, we are always ready to respond. While our call volume overall has been down so far this year, April was fairly active with 30 calls. Our crews assisted Franklin Park with an attic fire on April 18. Most other calls involve alarms or were minor in nature. We especially appreciate the tremendous support of the community from numerous food donations to general messages of support. It was especially uplifting to get out into the neighborhoods with the Northern Regional Police Department, McCandless Franklin Park Ambulance Authority, Marshall Volunteer Fire Department, and Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department for the first responder parades. We are proud to serve the community and sincerely hope the parades were a boost to everyone’s morale.
