August Recap

August was a little slower than previous months with 29 calls. Incidents of note include serious motor vehicle crashes in Marshall and Pine; two vehicle fires in Pine including a paper shredder truck; and a close call with a smoldering dishwasher control panel in Bradford Woods. We were able to get out into the community with Wexford Block Party on August 24. Members are gearing up with an always event filled fall starting with our own Open House with a real fire burn demonstration at our main station on North Chapel Drive on September 29 at 1pm. We will also have at least one truck at the Pine Touch A Truck event on September 22 at the Pine Community Center. Our ever popular kids Halloween Party and Costume Contest is planned for October 27 at our North Chapel Drive station.
