Car Fire Training Class
We were invited to join the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department in a car fire training class on Tuesday, August 7. Marshall scheduled the class and use of the car fire simulator through Butler County Community College and held the class at their station 2. Members rotated through “roll ins” for each car fire evolution where a crew boards a fire engine and drives in to the car fire just as if it were a real incident. The training evolutions gave members practice in donning gear, stretching hose and fire attack tactics on car fires. It was a good night to get in training that we don’t get to do often, and get to know the personnel and equipment of each other’s company’s a little better. We would like to thank the Marshall VFD for inviting us.
