1986 GMC/J.C. Moore Brush Truck
This brush truck was first put into service in 1986 when much of the community still had a rural character, and brush fires occurred frequently in the fall and spring. It features a two man cab, and four wheel drive. The brush truck has both a separate mobile fire pump, and PTO driven mid-ship pump. It carries 650 gallons of water. While brush fires like we’ve experienced in the past are few and far between, this unit still functions well when working in combination with our Tanker and ATV for brush and field fires that are not easily accessed. It is housed at our main station on North Chapel Drive.
