The Fleet

Rescue

Share

The Rescue is a 1994 International/Marion walk-in style rescue truck with seating for ten. It was put into serving in the fall of 1994, and was a major improvement to our fleet. Prior to putting the Rescue into service, the Brush truck was equipped with vehicle rescue equipment, and we operated a Chevy “bread van” as a squad that carried a lot of support equipment for rescues, service calls, and fires.

This Rescue truck helped us move all vehicle rescue equipment from the brush truck, remove the old Chevy van from service, and add some additional rescue equipment to our inventory. The Rescue features a full complement of Amkus hydraulic rescue tools including; spreaders, cutters, and two rams. It also carries a variety of rescue equipment from vehicle stabilization to high and low-pressure airbags to rope and confined space rescue. The Rescue is equipped with a PTO driven generator which powers the hydraulic pump for the rescue tools, electric cord reels, and a 25 ft. light tower.

Behind Engines 1 & 2, the Rescue is one of the most used vehicles in our fleet.
