January Recap
January was not an extremely busy month, but steady with 28 fire calls. The most common type of call was motor vehicle crashes. There were no calls involving significant fire loss or of other serious nature. Members started off the year training on basics with topics such as modern fire dynamics, and vehicle rescue equipment review. We received word that the new squad/utility vehicle ordered last year is nearing completion. The vehicle (picture above courtesy First Priority Emergency Vehicles) will replace our current Squad 1- a 2005 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck. The new squad vehicle will serve a similar purpose but carry additional equipment in order to have more versatility at motor vehicle crashes and other emergencies.
