June Recap
June was a steady month with 36 total calls for service. Members were also active with training as approximately 15 members participated in a vehicle rescue class hosted at our station through the Community College of Allegheny County. Members from the Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department as participated in the class. Part two of the class with continue in the fall with members having the opportunity to take a test to receive a state certification in basic vehicle rescue. Plans to update the fleet continued as four members traveled to the FWD Seagrave Fire Apparatus factory in Clintonville, Wisconsin to do a final inspection of the new tower ladder truck. All went well with the inspection, and the truck was delivered to the station on July 2. The truck should be in-service in a couple months after tool mounting and training is complete. Stay tuned for details on the progress.
