Training
A group of members traveled to the State Fire Academy in Lewistown, PA to take the Structure 1 class. The four-day class involves a review of fire ground skills that culminates in two days of burn scenarios in a burn building designed as a residential structure. Structure 1 is part of a four-class series that progresses from fire ground skills and tactics to command-level training scenarios. The class is also part of the prerequisites to become a local-level fire instructor in Pennsylvania. Chief Ausefski, Lieutenants Nicklas and Hudak, and Firefighters Kim and Laine attended the class.
