  • How to Get Started with Our Volunteer Firefighter Opportunities

    Contact us to learn more about membership. Use the short form on this website or stop by the station on Tuesday evenings, or call 724-935-1491.

    Someone from our membership committee will contact you for an informational interview. This is your opportunity to meet with members of the company to learn more about volunteering with us and the specific requirements for membership. If you’re certain you want to apply for membership, complete the full application form available on this page, and bring it with you along with your clearances to the interview.

    Complete a full membership application, and return with Pennsylvania required background clearances (for applicants aged 18 years or older).

    What Will Happen Next

    Applications go through first approval at the monthly board meeting and final approval at the monthly general membership business meeting, which occurs on the first Thursday of each month. The board meeting occurs on the Tuesday of that same week.

    The typical process from application to being sworn in typically takes two months. New member intake can be fast-tracked for applicants that want to enroll in fire academy classes that start during the process.
