Individuals applying for Operational Membership (Firefighter I/II) will undergo a probationary period concurrent with their completion of the PA Entry Level Firefighter Program and attainment of Firefighter I certification. Delivered in a modular format, the program spans over 180 hours of training. Recognizing the substantial time commitment, we acknowledge the need to integrate this training seamlessly into your personal life. Newly inducted members will remain on probationary status for a duration of 12 months from their swearing-in date. In cases where a member has not fulfilled the training requirements for their position within this period, the board of directors retains the discretion to extend probation for those demonstrating sincere efforts towards completing their training.

Operational members that have a Pro Board Firefighter I certification must service a 3 month probation period.
