INCIDENTS
The Wexford VFC responded to 112 calls in December: 49 fire-based incidents, and 63 QRS incidents. Crews were dispatched to 14 possible structure fires this month both within our district and in mutual aid areas. Notable examples include an apartment fire in Richland, a room-and-contents fire in Marshall, and a standby generator fire in Pine. Our average response time for emergency incidents was 7 minutes and 19 seconds, and a total of 34 members responded to incidents this month.

TRAINING
December continued our rescue series with Confined Space Rescue, which the Company hosted at Station 1 over the course of two weekends. We were joined by members of Ross-West View EMS who both took part in the class and were generous enough to share some equipment from Rescue 40 for operational familiarization. Students utilized the training tower constructing multiple training scenarios and layouts. Thanks to Working the Rescue for the continued training opportunities!
CERTIFICATION RECOGNITION
The Company has taken great initiative in 2023 to grow and develop the skills of our operation personnel by sponsoring countless training opportunities and professional certifications.
