INCIDENTS

The Wexford VFC started the new year strong with 99 calls in January. 52 calls were fire-based responses, and 47 calls were for QRS responses. Some incidents of note included a working residential structure fire in Cranberry Township (as well as 9 other commercial/residential structural assignments), a single-vehicle accident with entrapment in Pine, and a commercial mulch pile fire in Richland. Our average response time was 7 minutes and 19 seconds, and a total of 29 members responded to incidents this month.

MUNICIPAL RECOGNITION

The Township of Pine recognized several members of the Wexford VFC during the monthly Board of Supervisors meeting. President John Lombardo was honored for his 30 years of service on the Planning Commission, and Chief Chris Ausefski and Lieutenant Nathan Nicklas along with responders from McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority and Northern Regional Police Department, were commended for their life-saving efforts during the cardiac arrest of local resident Alan Traugott.
