Crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover in Pine.
INCIDENTS

The Wexford VFC responded to a relatively low 93 calls in September: 51 fire-based responses and 42 QRS responses. Some incidents of note included a small residential fire in McCandless, two vehicle extrications, and two SRT detail standbys/traffic control incidents. Our average response time for emergency incidents was 6 minutes and 1 second with a total of 24 total members responding.


Here is our incident breakdown by major incident category for September:
  • Fire – 2

  • Rescue / QRS – 50

  • Hazardous Condition (no fire) – 2

  • Overpressure Rupture / Explosion / Overheat - 1

  • Service Call – 5

  • Good Intent – 22

  • False Alarm / False Call - 11

TRAINING

Crews continue to perform Engine and Truck Co. operations at an acquired structure within the district as part of our weekly Tuesday trainings. This month focused on hoseline advancement, ventilation & flow paths, and unconventional access techniques for RIT.
