INCIDENTS

The Wexford VFC responded to 85 calls in November. 39 calls were fire-based responses, and 55 calls were for QRS responses. Some incidents of note included several commercial and residential structure fire responses into our mutual aid districts, as well as two brush fires in Reserve Township and the Town of McCandless. Our average response time for emergency incidents was 7 minutes and 24 seconds, and a total of 30 members responded to incidents this month.

  • Fire Alarm – 9

  • Fire – 6

  • Good Intent – 13

  • Hazardous Condition (no fire) – 8

  • Rescue / QRS – 44

  • Service Call – 3

TRAINING

November continued our Rope Rescue series with the Technician-level course hosted by Working the Rescue. Crews spent the weekend building several high line evolutions at Station 1 and continuing to review the new equipment prior to the arrival of the new Rescue in Spring 2024.
